Commercial Grade Castor Oil, also known as Industrial Grade Castor Oil, is one of the most widely used and versatile forms of castor oil. It appears as a pale yellow, viscous liquid that is insoluble in water and contains over 87% Ricinoleic Acid, a unique hydroxy fatty acid known for its industrial utility.
This grade is obtained through a combination of first pressing (expeller process) and solvent extraction from castor seeds. CCO serves as a foundation for refining other grades of castor oil such as Refined Castor Oil (FSG, DCO), Pale Pressed Grade, and Turkey Red Oil.
